Making a commitment to your dance classes is key to becoming a successful dancer. During class is where you will learn and develop strong technique which will help improve your dancing. Ballet & Pointe
What is learned in ballet class is carried over to many other dance genres. Classical ballet requires grace and poise. Ballet develops core strength, flexibility, and body alignment. Ballet basics are learned by doing steps at the barre, center floor work, and across the floor exercises. Dedicated dancers advance to Pre-Pointe classes designed for core conditioning and strengthening of leg and feet muscles. Pointe classes are then available for advanced ballet students who are ready to dance in pointe shoes. |
Hip hop
Hip hop dance is a vibrant form of "street" dance that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a piece of art. Hip hop choreography is consciously in tune with the music, beats, and grooves of hip hop music. It has evolved into one of the most popular and influential styles of dance. |
Jazz
Jazz dance is a form of dance that combines both African and European dance styles. This high-energy dance has a liveliness that sets it apart from traditional dance forms, such as classical ballet. This class includes warm-ups, isolations: where we focus on moving one body part, center work, and across the floor exercises. Dancers respond to the music with their body movements, changing their motions with the musicians’ spontaneous instrumental creations. |
Tiny Tumblers- READY SET ACRO!
READY SET ACRO is a collaborative acrobatic program developed with Industry Leader Acrobatic Arts, specifically designed for preschoolers. It emphasizes safe and effective progressions to foster the physical and social skills needed for healthy early childhood development. The program features original music with lyric cues and focuses on three key components: STRETCH, STRENGTH, and SKILLS. STRETCH enhances flexibility and expands the range of motion in all major muscle groups. STRENGTH engages young learners in a variety of exercises designed to promote physical strength and control. SKILLS allow preschoolers to develop social literacy and build confidence while exploring a wide range of AcroDance movements, from basic poses and balances to more complex handstands and cartwheels, always working at an appropriate level for their skill and experience. |
Movin' Moms
Come hang out and commiserate with other moms while moving your body and working up a sweat. It's a guaranteed good time with lots of laughs along the way. We warm up and do some light stretching, then we learn some fun choreography to songs from back in the 1990's through today! Join us! |
